SportMed Verlag

Starting on January 1, 2025, the newly founded SportMed Verlag will replace the work of its long-standing partner Dynamic Media Sales Verlag under the management of Nicola and Axel Lutz.

Ms. Simone Graf is the responsible management of SportMed Verlag, which is based in Ulm (c/o University of Ulm, Parkstrasse 11, 89075 Ulm). The publisher is the Association for the Promotion of Sports Medicine Hannover eV (VFSM). The VFSM guarantees the quality of layout, printing, graphics and illustrations. The layout is created by grape.media.design, Schleissheimerstrasse 6, 80333 Munich, Germany. The magazine is printed on acid-free paper by Creo Druck Bamberg, Gutenbergstrasse 1, 96050 Bamberg, Germany.

SportMed Verlag is a wholly owned subsidiary of SportMedService Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Sportmedizin in Deutschland mbH. The management of SportMed GmbH and SportMed Verlag is the responsibility of Professor Thomas Horstmann, Medical Park Bad Wiessee, St. Hubertus, Sonnenfeldweg 29, 83707 Bad Wiessee, Germany. The publisher manages all publication rights and has a contract with the current publisher, which acts de facto as publisher on behalf of the German Society for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. The publication committee is a registered non-profit association for the promotion of sports medicine Hannover eV.

The members of the publication committee are 16 regional members of the German Society for Sports Medicine and Prevention (DGSP), who elect a board that acts as a publication committee and oversees editorial work. The society's general assembly elects the editor-in-chief every four years and approves the budget. The society's board appoints additional editors and board members on the recommendation of the editor-in-chief and other DGSP committees; the board controls the budget and financial relations with the publisher. The editor-in-chief acts independently in accordance with the editorial statute.
